Mayankho works with rural communities in Southern Malawi to provide a pathway to sustained financial independence. We support women and youth to succesfully navigate the earliest years of growing a business.

Our story so far

We are currently supporting 115 new businesses.


Our community members are earning 2.8x more than the average national household income.


We are opening our 2nd community hub in 2024.

The journey of a Mayankho member

Joyce Binali joined Mayankho in 2020 as a member of our first cohort of 25 woman. In her first year of business, Joyce bought 250kg of Maize corns to sell in the local market. In 2023, Joyce owns 1 hectare of farm land and is harvesting 2400kg of Maize each year.
